Life back to normal

Okay so life is getting back to normal now that the holidays have past. I am back at work and commuting 2 hours a day, rushing home to pick-up the boys, get them home, fed, bathed and in bed on time. Oh yeah and somewhere in the rush cook a good home cooked meal. So I am wondering how society came up with the idea that women working and being super moms was healthy and a good thing. I mean seriously lets think about this. When do the super moms get a moment to themselves to just relax and calm down for the day? I know that tonight I finally set down for the first time to unwind from the day at 9:36 PM. That means I have been going non-stop since 5 AM. That is just crazy to me.

I want normalcy to be the June Cleaver story! I want to prepare a healthy breakfast for my boys and then get Trey off to work the boys to their play groups and activities for the day. Then come home to do the chores that need to be done, start dinner, look like a million bucks when my man walks through the door and then as a family gather round the dinner table. After dinner we will all have some time to spend together before getting everyone ready for bed. That just sounds like perfection to me....guess that is why it ain't ever gonna happen!

I know I may be rambling but I got some pretty important information today on short notice and I have about 3 days to decide how to handle this situation and it effects our home and it makes me want to retreat to my dream of being June Cleaver!

Maybe I need to study Proverbs 31 and focus on that instead of some old Hollywood writers idea of a wife and mom. I am pretty sure God's plan is much better than anything that will come across the TV or movie screen. So I will hush my ramblings and I am off to do devotion with Trey and then read Proverbs 31 to get some much needed direction and encouragement.
